ey ppz im planing to put my xbox inside my pc case (toghether with my pc )
now i ve read many tutorials and i can do th basics
I have two hardrives in my pc i would like to use the one with no OS for my xbox (its chipped) my question is, can i use my computers dvd rom for th xbox and can i back up my 10gigs xbox hardrive onto my pcs 80 gig one and just not use neither the xbox dvd player nor the xboxs harddrive,,,

if any of uz s got some info on using my pc hp dvd drive for the xbox abd my maxtor 80gigs hardrive let me know and they will be rewarded

Dude - use xboxhdm ( clone option ) to copy your 10gig to your 80 gig.

But - before you can use the new drive or indeed copy the existing drive you will need to have your Xbox modified - either hard mod or softmod.

As far as the DVD drive goes - try it out once your Xbox is modded.

my box is alresddy hard chipped v1.6
to clone the drive would i need to unlock it or not
and could i replace the xboxs samsung or something dvddrive with a seperate hp dvddrive

yo baztard check ur pm's i would be glad to help you with this project! i would like to plan sumthing like this soon to! i need to get some funds together but this would b awesome!

i currently got almost 200$CAD(canadian) im gonna buy a new xbox and a nice pc case(with a psu) soon.

also gonna buy a nice big hd later but ill get the project underway b4 i do

also wondering if you can add more ide cables to your xbox so you could have 2 drives cus the tut i c with a switch i dont understand

also wondering is there sucha thing as an ide cable splitter?

dont find hd switching very usefull for me might as well clone the orinal on the big one ur gonna buy and use it for the xbox
about the cable for pc u have a two way cable usually master and slave but im not sure wether the xbox motherboard would read that imma try researching bout it
if ur planning to place an xbox in a pc case without a a functional pc in , it is possible and someone has already made a tutorial about it
next weekend im be seriously working on this so :popcorn:
