No Serial Port

I have no serial port on my computer  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)   Can I use a rs232 pc card or a usb to serial cable and will they work in DOS??

that motherboard has an internal COM connector.

I tried editing my post but it would not work


I found the 9 pin rectangular com 1, I am going to try to find if a connector came with my motherboard, but it could be lost.  I kind of doubt that any local retailer would have this connector

it is five pins on the bottom and 4 on the top not center but on the left like this

I ordered one a couple hours ago from ebay.com not the UK site.

That sucks and my motherboard that connector is supposed to be included

So I will be waiting for another week to get back up and running

computer shops should have them. if not you could go to a computer recyclers.
that is if you don't want to wait for the ebay item to arrive.
