I use l-o-erase till I get FF72.

Then run Dosflash, powercycle Lite-On, and mostly it picks up the drive.

help, iv wrote a few times
and the drive still seems blank
wont eject doesnt make any turning on noises

the data checksum comes out as 0000 too

really need some help here!

What do you mean unresponsive? What did you use to dump the keys? Did you use firmtool to prepare the firmware? Did you get xx72 when erasing? Did you do it from windows or a bootable flashdrive/cd ?

thanks for all the help chaps
finally got it to work, it seems asif firmtool was creating blank firmware images, so if i flashed i was flashing a blank file to it so i re downloaded it made my firmware again
then used l-o-erase to put into 72 state then wrote my new file, and it worked fine!

my mates happily playing his backups again
