Hmm I used the CK3 Software to grabkey. Jungle flasher to make firmware and dosflash to flash. (Dont ask)

So I am correct in thinking the drives are missing bits of there serial? Or am i safe?

Missing data.

We all did specifically state to use, and only use JF / DVDKey32 0.7 until impending release of Dosflash 1.7 for creation of dummy.bin then that could also be used.

Firmtool does warn thisn data isnt present, and JF will warn when creating dummy.bin from source files and also if loading an old dummy.bin from dvdkey32 0.6 in the next revision.

your safe as you used jungle flasher top create the firmware..its those who used firmtool 1.3 dos version

for anyone who is unsure there is an easy way to check..
1. open jungle flasher on the doskey32 tab
2. click load firmware image at top half and load in the dummy.bin that was created by whatever app you used.
3. next click open target firmware box and load in the ixtreme firmware you created from your dummy.bin again in whatever app you used.
4. put a tick in advanced view.
5. click the drive serial tabs at top and bottom views..
6. both should match perfectly..NOTHING should be different.

the main places to check is line 2 and line 4..these seem to be the lines that are noticable..if the match your fine and all info was copied correctly. if the bottom doesnt match the top then you have generic serial data..

just be 100% sure that you load the ixtreme you created with your info. NOT the ixtreme you downloaded pre creation..

unfortunately this was me as i'm a dos kinda person lol..
if you want to check use the method above by loading the 3 files or dummy into JF and the hacked firmware and checking the drive serials match

OK ..I just wanted to make sure their wasn't anything wrong with the dos version of DVDKey.

So, if you used the latest DVDkey32 and firmtool v1.3 then you are OK (you just have to make a new dummy with firmtool 1.3.1), but if you used an older version of DVDkey with firmtool 1.3, then you are out of luck. Just trying to understand it correctly for future references.

I didnt use firmtool at all ..so I'm OK.

no the oppositte lol
"So, if you used the latest DVDkey32 and firmtool v1.3 then you are OK "
this is when its bad..the dummy.bin is fine..its the ixtreme firmware that firmtool 1.3 creates from the dummy that is bad..it doesnt copy over the drive serial number properly even though it reports that it has..but as the dummy file is fine you just reload that dummy file into new firmtool 1.3.1 and it will create a new ixtreme but this time correctly copy over the drive serial

I meant to say hacked bin, not dummy.

yes..
as stated above to test it just load dummy.bin and your created ixtreme firmware into JF and check the info is identical but it will be if you used 1.3.1

Hi i used the jungleflasher app to get my key then, used the n00b tutorial that uses jungleflasher program for doing all the firmware copying etc i think.
I didnt open a tool in dos at all,i followed the steps in the tutorial and everything went fine.
But today i replaced all the files within the jungleflasher/firmtool 1.3 final folder with all the new files from firmtool 1.31 folder.
Now i am going to follow the tutorial again and do exactly the same.
Is this ok/correct?
