erase and flash it in dos.

use l-o-eras until you get status ff72 it may take you 10 times but keep doing it until you get FF72

Hi,
I've got almost same problem. I was erashing my liteon and tdx cabel disconected from a drive.
Now I can't go in to service mode?

Is liteon in dos should be in service mode?
One more after bad erash when I on Xbox Windows allways stop working;/

Any sugestions?

ive been trying for 6 hours now keeps giving ff51 nothing else have tried it more than ten times please someone help!!!!!!!!!!

this is getting to be a joke run l-o-eras 50 times in a row still get status ff51 please there must be someone who can help

you don't need to open the drive. it's only for the key that the tray has to be half open.
when you erased the drive, its normal you can't open the drive because there is no firmware to tell the drive to open.
when you are having troubles flashing it there in most of the times it's not fully erased

just make a startup disc or stick and putt dosflash, l-o-eras and you're fw on it.

in dos go to the directorie where you putt the files in and type "l-o-eras dc00" dc00 is you're sata port, it's different for each computer so putt you're sata port there.

keep trying untill you get the status FF72

if it doesn't then try with powering off and on just before you hit enter

give some more info like wich sata controller you use.
did you use l-o-eras or the dosflash liteon erase.
when you startup dosflash and it asks to keep resend just hit no.

type the number of the drive.

type liteon e

after it's erased use l-o-eras untlill you get status ff72
make sure you type "l-o-eras 0000"  0000 is you're sata port

i think its an rc410 chipset i havnt flashed a drive with used laptop with a via 6421 cardbus to get key of drive cant use it to erase though as when drive is connected the laptop freezes and the ports are not visible in dos any more help would be grateful

i've heard of many people who had problems flashing with a laptop.
best to use an other pc
