Jungle Flasher Reports As Write Failed
« on: December 27, 2008, 10:02:00 AM »

this may be a daft question seeing as the drive works but is everything still fine here?

I read / erased / wrote using Jungle flasher

when flashing at the end it reported as write failed.

did it again the second time - just out of curiosity i tried the drive in my Xbox with a backed up game and the game worked fine.

is everything ok to go? and its just a case that Jungle Flasher was mistaken or is there a change I will have problems with the firmware.

I read / erased / wrote my lite-on using Jungle Flasher

when writing the firmware jungle flasher reported write failed.

it did this again a second time, just out of curiousity I tried the drive in my Xbox with a backup of Tiger Woods 09 and it worked fine.

Is this just a case that Jungle Flasher mistakenly reported the write as failed or could this cause problems with the drive / flash in the future?

it seems to work ok but I thought I best double check with you guys before I put it all back together

Cheers

I have an old Xbox that needs a new dvd drive, and I have a few spare lite-on drives.

Is it possible to use a lite-on drive spoofed as a samsung / hitach etc , I did try using Jungle Flasher Firm Tool but when I went to write it didnt allow me to

The smart thing to do is just erase it and rewrite... This happened to me, I didn't get as far as trying to test the drive, I just erase and rewrote.
