How do I boot dosflash in dos? Do I make a bootable disk and if so with what, iprep? Is there a way to open up dos in windows somehow? If you do use iprep where do I put the dosflash file and hacked fw on my thumbdrive and what about l-o-eras.exe i heard that was important
Tell us what type of drive, what did you use to get your key, ect.
Sammy. and beng, and liteon, I use JF to get my dummy.bin and then use it to create the hacked firmware and save it to a file.
Like Liteon_CFW.bin as an example.
But I only use dosflash for liteons 74s., because it freezes when you go to erase or write.
So i use iprep to make a bootable thumb drive.
It will format and put two system files to make it a boot disk.
I add dosflash and LOerase to it for liteons.
You then must put the hacked firmware on it.
So the drive should have 5 files,
MSDOS
IOSYS
dosflash
loeras
Liteon_cfw.bin.
Go into you computer bios and make the thumb drive as the first boot device: USBdrive not HD or cdrom.
Also check to see that bios found the drive as PLDS on that sata connection if its a liteon.
IT should boot into the A prompt.
Run dos flash and it will show all devices on all ide and sata ports.
if it askes do you want to resend say No
If it does not show your drive or any sata ports try and have one other device on a sata channel to get it to look for those type of devices.
I choose number 5 as its the port with my liteon.
I choose LITEON E to erase the drive and then choose W and then type in Liteon_CFW and you should be done.
If you need more info check the sticky bricked liteon for more help
