Kreon Drive Works With Xbc In Usb Case, But Not On Intel Sata

Got a 163B that works great with XBC when it is mounted in the SATA to USB case I got, but I tried to install the drive into the computer today (P5K Premium with Intel SATA) and while the drive works fine for reading discs, etc. when i load XBC is is just listed by it's drive letter and not by the Kreon firmware.  It also gets an error on startup and of course won't read 360 discs.

I put it back in the external case and all is well again.  Any ideas?
