Followed the tutorial on creating a .bat file to switch ip settings but it didn't work.  When I do the start>run>netsh -c interface dump > c:\quickipswitch\xbox.txt the dos screen comes up and quickly runs through some program.  Is some file supposed to be created by this?  Anyways I do the same for normal.txt and then make my .bat file according to the tutorial here.  I run the .bat file and the dos window comes up and it tries to open/run xbox.txt but it says Windows can not run xbox.txt.

Like I said before when I do the start>run>... no file is being created (but not sure if one is supposed to be created).  Any ideas on this?

You're just doing it wrong.  first go to start --> run and type cmd and hit enter.  then on that dos screen run the other commands this way the window won't go away on you and you can see what is happening.  The file that is created is here:
c:\quickipswitch\xbox.txt
