Liteon's Now Flashable?
« on: October 30, 2008, 02:56:00 PM »

Hi guys,

Ive just come back from my mates house who has 8 lite on drives ALL running modded fw. How did he do this?

I have looked all around the net thinking that C4Eva or someone has released something to make Liteon's flashable, but come up blank. Yet i have seen 100% with my own eyes liteon drives fully modded. People may be thinking talking crap, but i swear my eyes have witnessed it.

the only peoblem for me is that my mate doesnt want me to muscle in on flashing liteons, so he wont tell me (hence why im looking myself). I can get the key off one with the Connectivity Kit V3, but not back onto the drive.

Am i missing something and something has been released, or has my mate figured it out? If he's figured it out i'll get the info out of him sooner or later and share myself, but at the mo im at a loss on how he did it????

Did you actually see that they were Liteon drives in the machines and were they running backups?

benq drives look that same as LiteOn. He didn't have a hacked liteon. He had a hacked benq that replaced the liteon.

Ive gone through all that too. They were defo Phillips/Liteon drives. If it was just the one i woud have thought he just swapped the tops of teh liteon and benq drives over, but the fact that there were a fair few of them in his house all with liteon written on each of them and the dates all past April 08 (mainly may or aug on the back of the xbox's and Apr on the drives themselves) tells me he knows something we dont.

I wasnt buying it until he showed me backups running on them, but yea he defo got them running. Ive been flashing drives for a while so im quite wise to it all, yet im stumped on how he's done it all??????

Complete and utter bollocks unless he has been beta testing. But I guess we will all find out tomorrow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This would be awesome news - if true of course
But there is no modded firmware for this drive, unless you friend is c4e then this is just bogus.
Of course a video of these devils running custom firmware would proves us non-believers wrong.

oh and he could've also changed the lids on the drives to mess with you.
which in turns is messing with us too... indirectly

personally don't believe it at the moment although i reckon it is just around the corner. I doubt very much someone would go to the trouble of swapping 8 benq lids for lite-on ones but you never know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
