i guys i recently by a new xbox360 my old one is broken i dump the key from my lite-on drive and have the 3 files that is require i want to spoof the firmware on my old samsung but i don´t have the original firmware the only one i have is the ixtreme 1.4. i fallow all the steps on the tutorial but in the end when i select the firmware on iprep i got an error saying that is not a valid firmware.can some one help me? do i have to backup the firmware from my samsung drive and try to patch it? please  help me

i used iprep to flash my spoofed firmware to my samsung drive.

i used iprep and selected to untouched iextreme firmware and let it create the boot disc.

 i then loaded the iextreme firmware file i had on my hd into firmware toolbox 4.8 and inserted my key and spoofed it to liteon.

 i then copied the the firmware to the backups/1234567/12345 folder on the iprep disc and renamed it sam-cfw.bin.

 i shut down my pc and booted from the iprep disc.

 i ran the fsam 1234567 12345 and flashed the firmware to the samsung drive.

hey mate, it might seem long winded but you can download an orig.bin for your samsung from the internet, ms25 or ms28 either will do! this is an untouched firmware but you need to give it the key from your old drive, so really all you need is the old key from your original box and patch it to the downloaded firmware then you can apply a hack to that drive to make it ixtreme.
dont forget to spoof the firmware to report back as a lite-on, and forgot to ask is the liteon drive one of the new ones because if it is then all you will be able to extract is the key.bin and the inquiry.bin because it is impossible at the moment to fully extract the complete firmware, only the key and inquiry data.
