Could Connectivity Kit V1 Be Used To Obtain Lite On Key?
« on: October 13, 2008, 09:28:00 AM »

Can I use this older revision of the Connectivity kit? What is the most significant difference between this and v2? Is it just the power off button? Will it be possible to use this in order to get the LiteOn key?

I use V1 to get Lite on keys in conjunction with a RS3232 cable. The connectivity kit works fine for providing power to the drive.

Of course, like with any version of the connectivity kit, 2 small points on the PCB of the drive need to be bridged ..this requires soldering or some crafty wire trickery or perhaps some conductive paint.
