Can I dump the FW from a dead BenQ drive? As I would with a bricked Hitachi?
If so, can some point me in the right directions for adapters etc.?
I've already got the Willem Programmer I use for Hitachis.

XmodsUK: real easy fix here

the spi on Benq is only an 8 pin device

remove it and put it on a working drive.....

should take 5 minutes

Ha! I'd completely over looked the SPI flash chip!
