I must be doing something really wrong here...
all the tutorials I see or videos, people have there computer on and execute iprep, no problems.
When I execute Iprep it says no devices found??? and there are no controllers to choose from.... I know it works with a nforce4 chipset... so what is going on?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

OS windows XP sp2

my ultimate goal is to spoof my sammy to look like a hitachi....
so i'm trying to get the sammy firmware dump out of dos... I can get the hitachi's out of the toolbox easy.
if I should rather do dosflash, what version should I get?

When you boot up your computer, does it recognize the DVD drive when doing the power on self test (POST)?

I needed to have the DVD powered up through the Xbox before powering up the Nforce4 and Nforce6 motherboards.

I thought on the Iprep part when making the bootable usb stick you didn't have to have the drive on yet. Is that wrong?
