Ok, i've finally found the port... but... after i've launched modeb and type mode_b.exe port, system crashed and blue window appeared... after reboot, nothing was changed into my devices... so? plz help me and sorry for the 2 posts.

PS: i've tryed to use modeb (in cmd) in safe mode. It doesn't crash but gives me "EXTRACT IO:SYS error code 1084"

Yes, just create a windows shortcut with the same command you use in the 'dos box', mode_b.exe XXXX, where XXXX is the port.

Yes.  Put a blank disk in your floppy drive, open my computer, right click on the a: drive (floppy drive), click format, and check the box for ms-dos startup disc.  Then after that is done, copy the modeb_16.exe file and the io file to this disc.  Make your computer boot from the floppy disc.   Then when you see a: prompt type modeb_16 xxxx where obviously xxxx is your port.

Ok.  I am home and tried it with modeb_16.  When I use dosflash, it sends the mtk vendor intro on port 9400.  So what I did was typed modeb_16 9400 and waiting until like 5 lines of dots appeared and saw nothing happoened.  I restarted the machine and am now trying the control base register 940A, which slax confirmed for me.  As of right now with 940A I have 8 lines of dots.  It shouldnt be taking this long right?

I plugged the drive in using a connectivity kit, after modeb_16 started drawing dots.

Also a little info on this drive.  I have been playing with it for weeks trying to get it into modeb, but nothing.  Slax most of the time reported abnormal status after spinning up disk.

Any ideas?  Is this drive bricked?  What can I do?

Anybody give me any ideas here?  Is the drive bricked?
