New Problem After Flashing - "unplayable Disk"
« on: February 03, 2020, 08:11:00 PM »

Ok I eventually managed to flash my samsung drive using iPrep but now I am getting unplayable disk on original copies and backups. It is not the magnetic spindle as I have made sure it is perfectly in place and not loose. It is also not the SATA cable I made sure that was connected before trying it. I also tried the rubber band trick with no success.

Could I have possibly bricked my drive, or is there some other common fix which I have yet to try?

You might have done what I recently did, and that is flashed the drive without checking if the key was transfered.  Take your modified FW and open it in toolbox, check the key.   Is it a bunch of zeros or ffff's?  Your modified FW is in your thumb drive backups/serial/serial/sam-cfw.bin.  Check that.  You'll then want to use the 10sec trick with a via 4621a to access your drive again, now that its firmguard.  I just went through all this, if its a ms25, it's not bricked.  Just take err calm and I'll help yah out
