First off, I am trying to help out a friend. he has a samsung ms28.

i have a via pci card and i am using dosflash 1.4. every thing goes well. i have options to read, write or erase. dosflash shows FlashType SST(SST24VF040) and flashsize 524288 bytes.

i am able to creat a backup that i named orig28.bin. it is infact 512 kb.

toolbox says not supported or not valid.

Questions: 1) am i able to extract the key from this bin? 2) can i switch out pcb boards on the ms28 and have the key remain? 3) any other suggestions.

i can email the .bin if that helps.
