if i have a console with the liteon drive, can i spof another "modable" drive to look like the liteon?

Very likely, but it wouldn't be much good without the KEY, all it would do, is stop you getting E66, you still won't be able to play games without the KEY...

Without being able to read the LiteOn firmware you wont even be able to know the code to spoof it.

Like podger said it does not matter anyway. Without the drive key from the LiteOn drive you will NEVER be able to load a game from any other drive anyway.

You will have to do what everyone else is doing. Wait a few years and HOPE some option becomes available for the LiteOn drive. Just don't keep keep your hopes up though.

Hello, i would like to add that i just recieved my xbox 360 with a benq drive and was wondering if i can take the firmware from it and use a hitachi 78k in its stead,  is that possible?
