Hitachi Flash Went Wrong
« on: June 05, 2008, 08:38:00 AM »

Hi Guys,
I have a hitachi drive which i wanted to flash. Used slax to get it in modeb, started maximus fwtoolbox and followed the tutorial.
1st problem was that the toolbox only wanted to read the drive in classis mode, not in raw mode. Ah well it dumped fine and i got the 256k original.bin I copypasted the key (thank god for that) in a .txt file as backup.

Now i created the final.bin I smart hack patched it and then i wanted to put the new firmware in the drive. It wouldnt write to the drive. Hmm bugger i thought.. strange... Then i saw that i could put the toolbox via a dropdown menu in .59 compatibility mode. It startede writing in a couple of phases and when the bar reached about 75% the program locked up and wouldnt respond. Oh my, I thought.. Not good. Disconnected the drive, put in 360 and boot. 1st boot i got to the dashboard. drive wouldnt open however. 2nd boot E64. 3d boot error 65.

So what do i do now? The drive wont go into Modeb via slax or via executer connectivity kit. Would the cross wire trick work? I was very good in solving errors in the original xbox (i wrote the pinned "error list") but im not at home in modding 360's.
Could someone help me out?

The only drive I've ever needed the slax for are the 78's.  The 59's should goto into modeb fine with the connectivity kit.
