Hi, I was wondering if some one can help me with flashing a Benq VAD6038 with Ixtreme v1.41 all ready flashed on it. The thing I need help with is flashing the benq0800 firmwear on to my Benq VAD6038 xbox 360 drive with ixtreme v1.41 all ready flashed on to the drive. I am not shure what to do should I do the same thing as flshing the 1xtreme v1.41 firmwear. Also when I flash the Benq 0800 firmwear will it erase the ixtreme v1.41 or will it just add on the benq 0800 firmwear on to the ixtreme firmwear. If some one could post a tutorial on how to flash the benq 0800 firmwear I would be very very thankful. I have searched for a tut but no luck i was hoping some one will help. Thank you and have a nice day.

It's the very same flash proceedure, just make sure you have your orig.bin before you start, if you don't you should dump first and save it in a few places... It would a shame to flash over the only copy of your DVD key

Hi, Ok so I follow the same steps as flashing the ixtreme firmwear. But I was wondering if I just flash the 0800 firmwear or the benq 0800 and the ixtreme v1.41. I all ready have it flashed with the benq ixtreme v1.41. So I am just wondering if I flash the drive with the 0800 firmwear and the ixtreme v1.41 will stay on the drive when I flash the 0800 firmwear. If you could clear this up for me I would  be very thankful. Also thank you very much for the info on following the same steps and the flashing ixtreme firmwear. They should put that in the read me file for the 0800 firmwear. Also I was wondering about the read me file what is up with it it says:

Benq0800 Commands
-----------------
SS/CPRMAI - AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 77 00 00 C0

SS CHALLENGE ID - AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 ID C0

Raw DMI - AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 08 00 77 00

Raw PFI - AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00 77 00

Unlock  - 12 00 00 00 24 77 00 00 00 00 00 00

Lock -    12 00 00 00 24 88 00 00 00 00 00 00

I am wondering if I am supose to use these commands in any way.

dont worry about tgose commands, you wont need them.

the 0800 firmware will overwrite the iXtreme 1.41 firmware on there. like podger said, dump the drives firmware first before you go and flash it, otherwise you can loose the DVD key

I am still lost so what do I do when the ixtreme firmwear is over written. I have dumped the ixtreme firmwear from my drive and made some copys. But now what do I do because I would like both the ixtreme firmwear and the benq 0800 firmwear on my drive because I dont want to have to change my firmwear back and forth. Is this even possable to have both 0800 firmwear and ixtreme 1.41 firmwear on my drive at the same time.

What does BenQ 800 actually do?? I've got iXtreme 1.41 installed on my BenQ and saw the BenQ800 readme on xbins and was like  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)  wtf? Do I need to upgrade it?

@clayton9237
If you don't want to swap over and back etc...

Then either

Buy a kreon drive, this is samsung PC drive with firmware that allows you to access the xbox partition on pressed games, it also mimics other activity like SS extraction, but bacisally it's a cheap PC drive that will do a similar job as an 0800 flashed Samsung or Benq. At the moment there is no issues with these, but it is possible that in the future M$ could change something that would return different data and these would still be sending back the old data, chances are you would hear about pretty quickly....

OR

Buy another Benq or Samsung and leave it flashed with 0800, you will need something like and Xecutor connectivity kit to power it if you don't want leave you console open all the time.....

2 options, it's up to you...

The ATA commands are for developers like Redline, who writes XBC, they send these commands at ATA packets to do the various jobs listed against them, they are documented as they would not be standard ATA commands by any stretch of the imagination... Nothing for you to bother with

nevadabob24 - 0800 firmware is only for people wishing to use there BenQ to ip the game image to there PC to backup there games.

clayton9237 - its impossible to have to firmwares on the DVD drive. The Tsop only holds 256kb of data, and each firmware is 256kb. it would be possible to have a dual nand setup, but i think thats a bit over your head
