This may well be already covered, But whenever i search i see hundreds of threads, Each one with someone telling them to search... So if someone could point me in the right direction rather than telling me to search, That would be grand.

Had issues with my BenQ DVD drive before, Tried a few things but couldn't get it working. Then broke the ribbon cable and just gave up, With the idea of replacing the drive... So i found a cheap enough brand new BenQ Drive on Ebay. Swapped the Logic boards around, Plugged it in and was expecting it to fire up and everything be right as rain... Imagine my surprise when nothing happened (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif).

Really confused over it all, Why doesn't the Drive work? I mean nothing happens, It's a brand new drive and i've just swapped the logic boards.

It wasn't an issue with the board on the old one, it was just making grinding noises (Mechanical issues) so i know the board is fine. I've double checked all the connections and things. Everything works fine (Did an ammeter test on the wires). Oh and the power light for the Xbox does flash constantly, And i've tried ejecting manually and from dash. Still nothing.

I would try to flash the new drive with your key.  Put the logic boards back to the right drives and flash both drives with your key and see wich one works.

Problem i had there is... Getting it into B mode or something. Seeing as nothing happens. I thought just switching the logic boards around would be easy. What could be the problem? Anyone?
