Hi ,  Im a total newb at 360 flashing , and I , recently (wednesday night) managed to flashed my dvd drive with the custom firmware. it was easy enough but i need an answear on this question.

I flashed my DVD drive with a NON-STEALTH firmware and now i need to know , Do i need the SS.BIN , and the PMF/any other files. if i do , can someone tell me where to get them , or how to make them myself.
If i need to make them myself , can anyone tell me where to buy a cheap sata cable.
 i used the one inside my xbox to flash my drive.

They are for games, the firmware aspect is fine, if you want to stay as safe as possible on Live, your games need to include the SS/PF/DMI files

In my eyes, as long as the game is 100% stelath checked you could have any firmware on your drive.

so , what your saying is , i can leave the SS/PF/DMI files out of my iso if i am not on live , but i must add them to the ISO if im am going on Live.
