Need Some Help Flashing A 59dj
« on: May 18, 2008, 01:24:00 AM »

Hey guys I need some help flashing my May 2006 59DJ dvd drive. I can get it into mode b using the slax cd. I can get it in to windows. I can see the driver in my computer. I can even put a data cd in the drive and read the data off of it. I can get it to dump the firmware but I cant get it to write the hacked firmware. Im using the xtreme firmware off of xbins. When I run it I type in the drive letter, and folder name. It dumps the firmware and then starts to write the hack firmware but it just sits there on the first flash. It never fresses or crashes but  it never flashes, even let it sit for 30mins. I have read all the other posts about it but none seem to help.

Things I have done.
Flashing it with the drive open
Flashing it with the drive closed
Flashing it with a DVD in the drive.
Flashing it with a xbox game in the drive.
Flashing it with a 360 game in the drive.
Flashing with the files on my desktop.
Flashing with the files in C:\h.
Flashing with Firmware toolbox.

Tried all the above one 3 pc and still nothing. Were should I go from here. Anything will help thanks in advance.

With a fresh formated drive. I ran the restore.bat. It says it went fine. Then i ran the flashix.bat and it said it went fine. But it still did not write anything to the flash. It still plays everything except backups. The system has be refurbished by microsoft do you think they did something to the drive to stop the flashing?

Hey guys I bought the 360 connectivity kit. Used that to flash and put the drive in mode b, and it worked perfectly. So if anyone else is having this problem get the 360 connectivity kit.
