I went into firmtool after reading and my original was a good key, but the CFW was bad. What does this mean? What should i do?

When you say firmtool, do you actually mean Firmware Toolbox.... Firmtool is a dos tool, there is no going into it... Although, if the CFW file is all 0x77 there is a good chance that firmtool didn't work.........

You can use firmware tool box to copy the key from the OFW to the CFW file...

This happened with me before.....

Just back up the OFW - lose this, you are goosed.

Once done, load into windows, copy the OFW into the BenQ/Samsung (what drive are you modding) hacked firmware folder where 'make ictreme firmware' cmd is....

rename it orig.bin

double click 'make ixtreme f/w''cmd

take the file it creates and place it in the boot device -> directory X/backups/7 numbers/5numbers

It needs to be renamed to BenQ-CFW.bin or SAM.CFW.bin to flash it, this depends on if it was a BenQ or Samsung you are flashing.

Then, use

fben 7numbers 5numbers

or

fsam 7numbers 5numbers

For BenQ / Samsung

What i ended up doing was going into the firmware toolbox and copying the key from OFW to CFW and then i saved, and restarted, and did the fben command. Would it automaticcally write the hacked firmware or did it just re-write the original firmware? Do i litterally have to name the CFW "hacked firmware" and the OFW "original firmware" or is that just an explanation of what CFW and OFW mean?

You have it correct, OFW/CFW are original/custom firmware.

What you done was correct.
