They are just guessing , no body here knows c4eva so how did they

Basically extract the liteon keys, run the app, and then write it back. Its still a pain in the ass to do but better than swapping etc and it'll bring down costs since no other drive is needed. I've been told 1-2 weeks is the eta. (this is from what I understand anyways, I haven't been given the stuff to test with personally yet).

Yes you are right...but from what i have been told there has been no ETA given as yet...as far as i know it is all speculatation the release dates...we just have to wait for the team to do their job.

Thanks everyone for all your input - i was skeptic to post the info at first fearing a ban but i am glad i did now. It is very good to hear things are almost nearing the end for us lite on players. Thanks again.

I thought it was very trustworthy at first glance but i also had doubts after all those logs. If i dig up anything new and seems trustworthy i will post here so we can all keep up to date.

yeah but those logs were from irc chat, not from a forum. this seems very promising and as we all know it was just a matter of time this thing would be hacked. we might here something in the coming weeks.

If anyone know the people doing the hacks personally or by past logs, they shd be able to work out by the way they chat on IRC if its ball..
We all have a pattern in our sentences and wording..

On a forum which covers 'redflagdeals', ie cheap deals for Canadian residents.

If the dude was on a reputable hacking site it would have been a bit more convincing

There's a reason everyone comes to places like xbox-scene and related sites, because you can rely on the information. Just wait for an official statement rather than relying on random places and rumors.

I'm not saying xbox-scene will be the very first to know, but word will be on here the same day a firmware mod is available.

Yeah but the guy works at a modshop in Toronto...I know nowadays anybody can mod their own 360 but back in the day you pretty much had to go to a sketchy video game shop in a Chinatown somewhere to get modded (or buy those crazy add-on devices I remember for the NES/SNES).  Since it's so legally problematic most US places don't really mod much anymore, but in Canada the DMCA doesn't apply so...

Anyways point is, some of those video game shop people have been modding stuff for a long, long, time so they probably know a lot more legitimate info (and they do buy all those modchips so they know their suppliers).  I doubt he would say he could do the mod in 2 weeks if it wasn't going to be possible.
