Sh-d162c Problem
« on: February 03, 2020, 12:38:00 PM »

i accidentally flashed benq 1.4ixtreme firmware onto my sh-d162c. my sh shows up in bios as benq vad 6038 but in windows it does not show up and i have been unsuccessful in flashing the drive using dosflash or mtkflash.

Is there any other way to flash it?
Is there any way to erase the bad firmware so I can put the right one?

this is what I found http://etna.rpc1.org/samsung/index.html but it says mtkflash won't work... Dosflash is supposed to work

I'm sure you could repair it by removing the flash etc....

That said it may just be cheaper and easier to buy a new sh-162d and kreon flash it....

Oh yeah, they're all over the place, there is a reason Kreon picked the cheapest ass drive out there....

I normally get them from www.dabs.ie but they are out, they have the sata sh-163b....
