hi
bought a 360
with samsung ms25
drive tray dont open
i am trying to get the key
i boot to dos
mtkflash r orig.bin
choose option 2
then i get this message
Port: a400, Master/Slave: a0

i have done a ms25 with this card mtkflash long time before
so it should work

any ideas?

I am pretty sure this is how to do it.

Power on your drive.
Power on your computer
Get to dos
Type in mtkflash r orig.bin
then it will present you with 1 or 2
Power OFF your Samsung Drive for 5 seconds.
Select 1 or 2
Wait another 5 seconds
Power on your drive.

hi
tried that, and many other combinations, after select, before select 1,2,3,....20 seconds
but it allways keep hanging
if i press escape

it get sometimes
status = 00 should be 70

sometimes
status = 80 should be 70

and sometimes
status = 51 should be 70

and i think something like 73 or so

why it not work?

Are you using iPrep? Or are you just booting from MSDOS floppy disk with mtkflash on it?

If you are using mtkflash are you sure that you have the mtkflash.typ file on the floppy?

I would reccomend iPrep I have used it flash both my BenQ and my Samsung drives.

yes i use a MSDOS floppy disk with mtkflash on it
i have the mtkflash.typ on it
i have the via 6421 card

i havent tried iPrep yet

will download it and give it a go

If you haven't used iPrep then chances are a mtkflash doesn't have the correct h/w address for the sata, very little chance it will work...

this mtkflash worked before
so dont think thats a issue
to be sure i tried extreme bootmaker and iprep to make mtkflash
but still a no go

stil the following errors

status = 00 should be 70

sometimes
status = 80 should be 70

and sometimes
status = 51 should be 70

and i think something like 73 or so
