Spoof Help

The good news is that the 59 will work with pretty much any sata card, where as raw dumping with toolbox is more tempermental...

This should mean that it would be less likely to mess up the 59... Strangely enough the <78 can often have problems with the 6421...

As for the 2 cards you are pointing to non-raid is the one to go for...

Do you have a USB 2 Sata, mine always works for me, the only thing is you would need to use the 2-wire trick to mode B it OR use Slax with it connected to the SATA card and the move it to the USB for Windows..

As for spoofing just use fw Toolbow once you do see the 59 in windows...

Yes it's incompatible when working in raw mode with a 78 or 79... In classic mode with a 59 it should be OK... Just try it any way...

Oh well, it's quite possible that your particular USB 2 Sata is incompatible...

Do you get a drive letter in windows and does it autostart dvd or cd when you close the drive???

Again make sure you use classic mode, for classic mode you shouldn't have a disk in the drive.

Are you powering the Hitachi from the 360??

Ok next steps...

> tools > direct dump firmware

select drive and tick classic dump, opt to keep it open..

paste in the key from the 78 and click relpace key

> tools > direct flash drive > flash keys

choose the drive and the 59flash.exe, click start flashing

> tools > spoof firmware

select the 78 and apply spoof

> tools > direct flash drive > flash strign iD

it should now work for originals....

> tools > smart hack patcher

select the output file and the speed of ixtreme

generate the file and keep it open....

> tools > direct flash drive > differential flash ( patch )

select the drive, click classic, read and detect differences, start flashing

Is the drive still powered on, if it is all is not lost, the drive will remain active til it is power cycled, this happened to me before but I just reloaded fw toolbox and tried again until it finished....

Do you have another PC you can use, with the USb a laptop would work......

Any of the better modders can fix the bad falsh ones for you anyway.... You just remove the flash and program it externally, then solder it on again..... I could do it for you but I'm in Ireland and would probably take a while to get here......

Someone on the west coast would probably suit you best...
