what chipset are you using?  I use my onboard nforce.  I tried using my via6421 one time and it kept hanging, so I just use my onboard.

I used 6421 card before and it worked perfect..I really REALLY dont know why it didnt wanna work recently. before I used dos16 and manual way. I will try iprep tomorrow next I have access to a benq drive. I have onboard via chipset too..will give that a try too as iprep reports it as compatible.

SNAAAKE, when you were receiving the 0x00 status, were using the iprep boot disk?  I am getting the 0x00 status code and it won't change when I turn on/off the 360.  It sounds like you must have the 360 turned on when you type dben serial#, then off when it asks you to ensure the console is off.  The more I read on this though, the more I want to use DosFlash16 to ensure the process goes correctly.  I'm using a benq drive and the furthest I have got is the 0x00 status.  More work tonight!

did the last poster ever find a solution? I can get mine to read "0x00" or "0xFF" depending on my bios setting in the mobo however it just sits there. Whats the msot compatable raid card I can buy in store? I need to get this project on the way. Also whats the best one to buy online, just to compare?
