Having All Sorts Of Trouble With Homebrew Games...
« on: April 02, 2005, 10:50:00 PM »

I can't seem to find this problem listed anywhere else in this forum.

I use the EvoX dashboard to run homebrew games.  I've downloaded several.  The dashboard displays them all in the games menu just fine.  Super Mario Wars works properly, but every other game will fail to run, and just drop me right back into the dashboard.  I haven't gotten around to copy my .pak files and .wad files over for quake2x-le/doomx, so I assume that may be the problem with them.  But other simple games like pac man, and Madness Interactive simply won't do anything.  Is there a simple step to making all of these games work correctly that I am overlooking?  I am extremely frustrated at the moment.

Any help would be much appreciated. <

Someone please help...

Ok, doomx now semi works.  I copied over my .WAD file from doom2.  It now appears as an option on the doom menu, but when I try to run it errors out at the dos-like screen.

I've tried several other games, but they simply wont launch.  Its the same problem I get if I re-title a default.xbe file... the title will show up, but it wont launch. <

I got xbox version 1.6b, spider chip running evox ver. 3935
I cannot get doomx OR doom legacy work.  I dont get any error messages, just the menu screen and then it freezes up.  I have gotten QuakeI and II, and ROTT... they run great, but doom no go...  I read up on a trick with Doom3 that youcan play the origional dooms with it..Just search for it..I havent tried it myself but am right now.

I wish i had code skills at this point. I really patiently waiting on the update for this. I'd love to know if there is any progress on the launcher though.
