Flashing Benq Back To Stock Firmware
« on: March 09, 2008, 07:30:00 AM »

Hi,

Im wondering what the best method is to flash a benq back to stock firmware. i was thinking of renaming the OFW file to CFW and then following the later part of the tutorial? Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Andy

You could do that... rename the ofw to cfw , run fben...

OR

if OFW is there just run RBEN.... the restore batch file......

ok, sounds simpler (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). So i would just erase the current firmware (is it dben?) then use rben to restore the original firmware as long as its within the Backup--->serial folder?

NO Rben does it all

3 files

DBen.bat - Dumps the firmware to the \backup\1234567\12345\benq-ofw.bin
              - and copies the the iXtreme file in the \CFW to \backup\1234567\12345\benq-cfw.bin
              - starts firmtool. Firmtool copies the key from OFW to CFW
              - Firmtool also spoofs benq-cfw if required... ( 2 version of Benq drive )

FBen.bat - Erases and flases the modified firmware(benw-CFW.bin file)

RBen.bat - Erases and flashes the original (benq-OFW.bin file).....
