The Xbox 1 had an IDE interface and the 360 drive uses a SATA interface. Logically speaking it cant be done plus the firmware would not be compatible anyway.

Just go on Ebay and buy a new 360 DVD drive.

Just replace the circuit board from your old drive to your new one. It just unplugs from the cables and should only take a couple minutes to do.

ya but dont i have to put the key from the bricked drive to the new replacment drive

No, The key is on the flash chip on the circuit board. When you swap the circuit board the same correct key will now be on your new drive.

Now this all assumes that the circuit board on your old drive is still good. What was wrong with your original drive?

Then your flash is corrupt... The fix this you would need to remove the flash chip, and flash it with your orig.bin and resolder to get it back to it's original state.... If you were getting it done, get whoever to put iXtreme on also, that way you won't mess it up again...

how about forgeting about all that reflashing of the chip and resoldering it or whatever

and i just buy a new 100% clean drive to replace my bricked one.....

WHILE HAVING THE ORIGINAL BIN. OF THE BRICKED HITACHI DRIVE

i have the original bin. becuase i once flashed my drive good and it did a backup of my original drive firmware, not i flashed it agian and it was a bad flash so

can i just buy a new drive and replace it with my bricked one......

Yes as long as you have a good copy of your original firmware and drive key. You will need to flash and spoof your new drive with your original drive key and spoof it as your original drive at the same time. Since your original circuit board is bricked there is no option of not flashing your new drive.

omg relax take it easy
its not like it costs you guys anything for starting another thread and btw it wasnt the same thread, it eneded up being the same topic at the end of the thread but really its not the same if you can acually read the titles that i posted and im not being dense im just trying to be logical, if you could reprogram a freaking chip and solder it and do what the fuck to fix it i think you could get the damn, drive to detect in windows, so i understand im just trying to find a logical and reasonable an cheap way to fix the drive cause all of you say that ya ya the firmwares are the best, ya ok there costing me a fortune being bricked and what not, id rather foget about all this shit and buy the games at 80$ plus tax, so next time you should get your facts straight

My opinion on your best option?

Send me your Orig.bin from borked drive.

Ill verify it has a valid key.

Buy a new drive, Id suggest a BenQ as they are the quietest.

Ill created your hacked firmware for whatever drive you want.

Ill email you it back

You can then flash this to the new drive.

As long as you have a valid Original Backup of your borked drives f/w - it shouldnt be too hard.
