plus, if that's confusing to you, you shouldn't be flashing your xbox 360 in the first place.

but do i need to purchace a SCSI controller? isent it SATA interface on the drives?

i have hacked alot of xbox and ps2 in the past, but im on the lockout for a 360 now, so i will try your tutorial!

Emerica44n, when you say iprep didn;t work... what do you mean exactly - what wasn't happening before that got fixed with your guide above? cheers

your problem was most likely that you are using a 1Gb thumbdrive. anything over 512mb will have problems

Hey thanks for the confirming that for me scuba. That freakin 1G was giving me problems and that was the reason. You will definitely have problems on boot up even if you set your bios to boot from USB By using anything over 512MB.

Sorry for such a late response..

but what I meant by iPrep not working, was that it wouldn't detect the drive.
EBM wouldn't even load the bios; yes, I updated the .xml file.

for me, it wasn't the 1gb stick, because before that, I was using a 256mb.

unlockman, yes, you do need to buy a SCSI controller with SATA on it.
I recommend getting the one that I have.

but, if your motherboard has on-board SATA, you can try that, although not all SATA chips are compatible.
