My Pal Xbox 360 Plays Ntsc Region 1 Dvds

Hi i am sorry if this sound stupid or is the wrong forum but I am so excited I acutally put a ntsc dvd (region 1) in my 360 (bought in austria) and it started playing the dvd. can someone explain me why that is? (or is that normal but i am guessing not since i know a couple of people who cna not play region 1 dvds on their xboxes) thx

That's funny because I have a similar situation where I am able to play PAL backups on my NTSC console.  I'm not sure as why this is but it's great.

wenn your backups might not have a region setting but my dvd is an original and has a region setting
