Can someone help me to restore my hitachi drive but i lost the original firmware so is there anyway i can read or dump the current firmware and then load it up into toolbox then copy the key into stock hitachi firmware and then restore.

So can someone tell me how to dump/Read the current firmware with a hitachi drive .

it is the same as if the drive had original firmware. read textbooks PDF, a simple google search will find it

Do as scuba said, read the tutorial. You dont need your original firmware to restore a hitachi drive.

You will have to know what it was flashed with, and use that version to do the restore.... Opening a dump in FW toolbox will most likely tell you the version...

I dont have a dump and i don't know what version firmware it is on , is there anyway i can do a dump to see what firmware it has?

sorry to be short, but you need to RTFM, twice if you have the time.... You have 3 post on the out of the first 14, all about drives you have bricked.... It's going to get really expensive for you if you don't come up to speed soon....

Read the tutorials.txt that comes with FWToolbox.
