Sorry for not knowing what went yellow, I use a Xenoo Connectivity kit For power.

All I have ever done is

Power off 360 - wait about 10 seconds for 360 to completelyshut down (not 100% essential, but it can make a difference)

Choose port

You will get a bit of code (cant recall what it says port=xxxx or something)

Upon seeing that, count to 7 and power on drive.

Nothing visual, all timing.

So since i have my original "sam-ofw.bin" file with key, if i buy a new samsung drive do i need to dump the firmware from the new drive before flashing it with my hacked fw?  Also my drive is a ms28, if i buy an ms25, do i need to spoof it as an ms28 or does that not matter since it is still a sammy drive?

Personally, Id create my hacked firmware using Toolbox.

Including:

Hacked Samsung Firmware from xbins
Matching key from old drive so it works on old motherboard
Spoof to appear as same drive / firmware revision of Old Drive

Thats how i created my hacked fw for this drive. But i was wondering if i get an ms25 drive, do i have to dump it befroe flashing the new hacked fw, or can i just go strait to the mtkflash w /m ix14.bin ?  And will i have to spoof it?

Thanks for everyones help by the way.

As I said.

Id get get F/W toolbox.

Open up ixtreme 1.4 'hacked' firmware in there
Add VALID Original drive key
Spoof as whatever the original drive was (MS25/28/Hitachixx)

Then use that firmare in the root of your bootable device

mtkflash w /m hackedfirmwarefile.bin

I gave the (MS25/28/Hitachixx) above in case anyone searches and finds this post.

Im also optimistic people will actually search these days!
