Help Recovering Key From A Bricked Ms-25
« on: January 22, 2008, 05:28:00 AM »

Hi,

I got an Xbox off ebay that was listed as a drive problem (not reading disks!) turns out that it's actually an Error 64, bad flash.  Spoke to the seller who claimed to have just got it from someone else (might be true!) but he has no original.bin for it.

I'm aware that this is only recoverable by removing the chip off the board and reading it into an external programmer, but although i'm quite clever i'm not that good! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

So, does anyone know of someone in the UK that has the ability to extract a drive key from a completely broken Samsung MS-25... i know loads that can do it for Hitachi's but am having trouble finding someone that can do a Samsung.

Thanks for listening, would seem a shame to butcher a perfectly decent looking xbox for spare parts!

If its a bad flash then there is no guarantee that the key is even there anymore. I can read it if you want. PM me and we can talk.
