Just got a brand new Elite this Friday, it came with the BenQ drive. I have ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard with plenty of SATA Ports, but they are all Intel ICH7 or JMicron chipset - so I'm assuming that won't work with flashing a BenQ Drive.

I'm going to follow the "Textbook.pdf" tutorial to flash my BenQ, and I want to do the non-soldering method. So I guess I have to buy a VIA SATA Card.

Can anyone suggest a cheap VIA SATA Card that will do the job. I keep coming across VIA VT6421A and VIA VT6421L. I dont know the difference thus don't know which one to get - or if there's a better/cheaper option. I'm looking for the most "hassle-free", "complication-less" method of doing this. I'm no expert on any of this.
Flashing my old MS25 was a piece of cake. But BenQ is a different story.

i have the VIA VT6421A but both should work fine

Do you know where you got it from and for how much?
So there's really no difference between the two, in terms of, the procedure remains the same - right?

I was looking at this: VIA VT6421A IDE & SATA RAID PCI Controller Card

Does this sound about right?

I live in the Netherlands, and bought a Conceptronic sata card with the via chipset for €15 at a local pcshop
