Hey all! Awesome forums, I couldn't find a solution to this issue by scanning the forums,so I figured I would start a new thread. I am having issues completing this flash on my benq. I was following the total_noob_tutorial.pdf ....unfortunately I could not get my emachines PC to boot the usb drive (i have a kingston 1gb usb flash drive), if someone could tell me how to make that work that would be awesome...   well, without being able to use the usb drive I created a floppy boot disk, everything was working fine, was able to read and erase ..but when I get to write i have an issue, is writes banks 0 & 1, but when it gets to bank 2 it suddenly says "Data error reading drive A:, abort, retry, ignore, fail" I can go back and earase, but this error happens every time i try to write the benq iextreme 1.41 .. 8x....can someone help me out with this? I'm losing my mind...thank you in advance

Use iprep to make a folder on your primary hard drive, then use NTFS4DOS cd image,   the textbook tutorial links you to it.  Then you just boot with the cd. Change your boot priority to use the CD. After booted  change  drive to C:\ then iprep folder , and do   dben   fben as you did before. Except now its from your hard drive after booting with a cd.

It is possible that you are not looking hard enough in your bios.  Sometimes the flash drive shows up as another hard drive not a removable media.

Make sure you go into your bios and set it to boot to usb-zip or something like that. Cause most computers come with floppy as the first boot option then hdd then cd. You need usb to be first. Then try using Xtreme boot maker to make a floppy. Download XBM from crazymods.kicks-ass.net
