Laptop + X360 Usb

Hey. Don't know if this has been discussed before, searched the forums, but nothing came up that specifically answers my question.

What does everyone think about the X360 USB that includes the connectivity kit?

I am wondering this because I have a laptop that does not have SATA or PC molex connectors, and need to flash my BenQ drive's firmware.

Thanks, if you respond.

I will also ask in http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=604949
Deletion of this topic is acceptable if the above forum is the right place to ask.

P.S.
I have a BenQ drive, and was wondering if I just connect power to the Xbox 360's power.

Wont work for Benq drives. The only way to softflash a Benq drive is either with a via chipset or nforce chipset.

Hi,

X360 usb only works with hitachi drives, you are better off getting a PCMCIA via chipset card.

Post the question on the following thread as its dedicated to testing the PCMCIA via chipset cards for us laptop users that don't have external SATA ports.

Link to PCMCIA thread: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=630969

Hope this helps....!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
