And getting a motherboard is stupid?

You will need to get another motherboard with the DVD rom to match it so you will have the drive key. Who is going to sell you a good motherboard and dvd drive? What you will get it a bad motherboard that gets the 3rrod.

You will need to buy a new Core or Arcade system. Next time DON'T TAKE IT APART!!  You messed the last one up because you did not take the time to fully read and understand the flashing process. If you don't want to take the time to do this then don't try to flash again in the future.

I say you keep your screwed up 360 just in case you run into problems when you buy a new 360 and it fails sometime, you know your going to flash it so it will void warrenty and you may need the parts down the line..

also there is a new solution to extract your key but the skill and knowledge is still under devolpment. you may see some people offering this service down the line though.. read into infectus 360 pcb... timming attack and key extraction..  you only flashed your dvd drive and key should still be in the motherboard...

Hope this link is fine:
CODE
http://www.infectus.biz/tutoriall-dvdkey-en.php

buy an arcade system and use the hard drive and parts from your sol 360..

please take the time to carefully read all flashing/modding threads before you attempt this again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

lol,

are you kidding? You screw up a drive with easy flashing, and you think you can do the timing attack, kernal downgrade and extraction (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You can't extract the key from the motherboard.  You need to know it to be able to boot a modified KK disc.

So, as many others have told you, sell the system for parts and buy another.

Sorry, this still doesn't help you.  You can't run the XeLL loader (KK disc) without already knowing your DVD key.  And even if you could, I can't believe you're eager to attempt this after failing already at such a relatively simple effort.

Here's a suggestion that will save you much heartache next time.  Since you already have a BenQ drive on your hands, use it for your next attempt at modding.  Get another BenQ system and don't even attempt to flash it.  Just read the firmware from that drive, then mark it "good" with the current date and set it safely aside.  Now flash the other drive, and test it in your 360.  If you did everything correctly, you're golden.  If you still screwed up somehow, you needn't worry, since your "good" drive is untouched.  The next time iXtreme is updated and you need to flash again, take the drive from your 360, mark it "good" with the current date and flash the other drive this time.  With one working drive always set aside for safekeeping, that's extra protection against ever losing your key or shooting yourself in the foot again.

No, I suggested you hang on to your DVD drive is all, at least until you flash your new system, so you can 100% guarantee you don't fuck yourself this way again.  But seeing that you didn't even understand that concept, I realize that nothing is 100% and you may well find another way to fuck yourself.

Yes, but if you're talking about purchasing games, you would be better off waiting if you're going to get another system.  Otherwise, you'll have to deal with the funky security issues on content previously purchased on another console.

You should really spend a lot more time looking at your PC, floppys and USb stick to see if you have the original flash backup somewhere....
