What you need is an orig.bin from any benq drive.
insert your key into it using fwtoolbox
flash the orig.bin with your key in it to the drive using dosflash

Simple, providing you really do have your correct key.

so whithout the orig bin flashing whith (for example) ix14-12x.bin is only partial - what I dont understand is y it leaves part of the corrupted firmware. I even tried to erase the firm and do a check on it (I dumped it) and still it was some corrupted data from my ie history... is this bad... or am I a moron? I prefer the second variant...mb it got somesin to do whith me flashing using hireen boot cd whith my hds connected?

Hey jackyhack, if you really think you have your key and you need a hand then PM me and I'll try to help you get things working.  Send your key (just paste the text) and tell me if you can boot from a floppy and what chipset you are using to flash.

Ok, I got the dump (from a freind:) ) I inserted the key and flashed my vad6038 - now ot points out a "E 66" error...
1.st this is bad.
2.does this mean that the key matches and mb theres a problem because the xbox is pal ver and the firmware is in onether format? or it got nothing to do with the key matching and its simply a bad firmware?
when I unplug the sata cable everything is ok

E66 means a drive model change or lower firmware version than the stock factory version has been detected.

Grab the latest iExtreme (1.4.1) from x-bins, put your key in that, and give it a go.

The advice should be... If you havent read the tutorials properly & havent got a clue what your doing DONT flash any drive let alone a BenQ.

use ixtreme 1.4.1 from xbins! It's a full firmware and the orig.bin is just needed to get your drive key. You have that already so insert it into the ixtreme firmware and be happy.

Have you patched the firmware with your drive key?
