No, that is what manual mode is for. There is a forum thread dedicated to the last release of dosflash, it contains much helpful information on using the program. I recommend you look it up to help you out. There is also #dosflash on efnet, IRC.

You don't have to "find" it. Just type this in your irc program...

Dont bother. People who cannot execute such a simple task should not be modding their xbox. All it does is waste the time of people who spent *their* valuable free time researching it themselves.

Because the information you are looking for (dosflash manual commands) is readily available in these forums and in many tutorials.  Take a minute to search and read, and surely you'll find your answer.

Are they originals? It sounds like your drive key wasn't set in the hacked firmware. If this happens the drive behaves just like a DVD Player and plays the video thats on every disc.

Nope...Tis 3 games r backups (dirt, crackdown and C3)....The rest of my backup runs perfectly well as well as my original...

By the way....If i wanna flash back to OFW,do i juz need the orig.bin only or the hacked.bin is necessary? What should application i use to make hacked.bin?

if you made your bootdisk with the latest iprep and benq scripts, then the command to restore your original firmware is:

rben <7digit serial> <5 digit serial>

where the serial #'s reflect the correct path to your firmware.  the original firmware is all you need to restore.

Way too complicated. Why would a script be more complicated than the program that it uses? It entirely defeats the purpose of a script.

Just type 'dosflash' for auto mode, select write, select orig.bin, done. If you need manual mode, then run the manual command, select erase, then write, then select orig.bin, done.

[22:42] <c4eva> to fix AC with benq, set the startup to disc rather than dash in sytem/console settings/startup
[22:44] <c4eva> just once, then once you have booted AC, you can set back
[22:45] <c4eva> fixed my one for good, booted AC for over 2 hours now, problem gone

Truly bizarre, and yet it certainly worked.

For anybody having trouble with this, it only worked after I created a save for AC.  Maybe that's why a couple of others have reported mixed results.

I don't see how its more complicated... It only uses the serial to store the firmware in its own directory. The script will put the cracked firmware, and the original firmware in /backups/serial-7/serial-5, so that if you were flashing multiple box's, you could have multiple copies on the same memory stick. You could do rBen a b if you wanted, so long as you were consistant.

All iPrep does is set up scripts to run dosflash in manual mode, and gives the newbie nice little prompts of exactly what to do as far as turning on and off the drive to get it to read and write properly...

Useless to argue about which is better when its doing the exact same thing...

We've all seen posts from people who've turned their 360s into noisy DVD players by assuming iPrep would cover their ass when they didn't really know what the hell they were doing.  I'm with Iriez, all those scripts do is obscure what's really going on from the user, which discourages learning.  Its usefulness is geared towards professional modders, not your average noob.  It doesn't get much simpler than dosflash in auto mode.

PROBLEM:
When i try to write the ixtreme 1.41 with dosflash 1.3(I try and the 1.4) the end of the write procedure(In auto or manual mode) it bring me a lot of write errors.

SOLUTION:
When i unpluged all the devices i have connected to my pc and leave only the pci sata card witj via 6421r chipset on the procedure go fine with NO write errors.

QUESTION:
If i only disable from bios motherboard all the ide & sata controllers it had one success write procedure or it still make write errors???

Have try this method anyone? If it did please talled me the conclusion.

A LOT OF THANKS.
