Repaired Xbox With Benq Drive To Flash - Please Help
« on: January 02, 2008, 02:14:00 AM »

Hello,

i have just got back my xbox and it has got a BenQ drive. I would like  to flash it as it was flashed before the rrod. I dont have anyone around here to flash it (i live in australia) and have to do it myself.

Has anyone flashed a BenQ drive on a mainboard with nforce 4 chipset? I have flashed a MS25 and a old hitachi on it without any problems.

What tools/software do i need?

Sorry i am a bit ou of all of that and searching the forums did not help me really as somethign that was recommended in one post is outdated already in the next.

Thanks to everyone who can/wants to help.

Where in Australia are you? I'm in Brisbane (Southside) if that's of any use to you.

Use dodflash1.4 & latest benq extreme. NF4 should work fine by following instructions. Don't forget to erese flash after making at least 2 backup of original f/w. Do a compare with hexedit  to ensure that good f/w reads have been made!
