I would like to ask a fairly -in my opinion- simple question:

If the enable0800 disc tells the drive to stop being such a bitch and start reading/flashing firmware(assuming you are already having a hacked firmware of version 4x and above)....why don't we just simply use this disc to flash the hacked firmwares on MS28s from first hand??

My point is why use via sata cards or vcc methods if you can simply put the 0800 on?

--If the answer is that hacked firmwares include "hacked firmguards" that allow 0800 to work, and are still undetectable from M$...then GOOD JOB!!

but what really happens??

Yes! use enable800 for firmguard f/w. For ms28 use dosflash 1.4 don't need to use any tricks like vcc. Too many noobs have bricked their drive. Haven't had a bad flash but feel that dosflash 1.4 (dos version) as it works on the same principle as as vcc or data line trick.
 Best method to use is as follows
1 use nf3 or nf4 mobo
2 use a pc power supply adapter for free 60 rom
3. Do an erase first
 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
