I have the older connectivity kit Team Xecuter made so I don't need to have my 360 hooked up to flash my drive. I've had two motherboards work fine with it. It is the device where you plug the 360 drive into it, then that goes into your SATA port. It also powers the drive. It's great.
However I am looking to throw together a cheap PC so when I want to flash my 360 drive for me and my friends I don't have to rip open my PC any more. The motherboard does NOT have any SATA slots but it has some PCI so I figured I would buy PCI cards to rectify that. However, I've read for flashing Samsung one PCI card is good and for Hitachi another is good. And I don't even know what's recommended for BenQ.
HOWEVER, are these PCI cards only being recommended for people WITHOUT the team xecuter thing I have? Meaning since I have that device, does it not matter WHAT card I use, just as long as it is an SATA port? Or does that still matter? I know chipsets and stuff like that are important, I just didn't know if it had to be for people without that team xecuter device and that device took care of that problem. Like I said I had two motherboards that the SATA ports worked fine but maybe that was a coincidence or maybe it was because of the team xecuter thing. If I HAVE to buy these special PCI cards I will any way and would like to know which 3 are recommended for all 3 types of drives.
Thanks guys!!
