I've got an asus a7v600 mb and has a VIA VT6420 chipset, I was wondering if it's possible to flash a benq with this chipset.

Also is it possible to use the xecuter connectivity kit to power a benq rather than the 360 itself?

You could flash it with the VIA chipset, DO NOT use the connectivity kit as you have to power off the drive and power it back up while in windows (If your using dosflash32). EASY.. Read the tutorials and dont solder anything.
