or less complicated. look up "bad flash" method... i have used it on over 50... never had a problem... and u dont even need the 0800 disc if ur wanting to update
The bad-flash method is what he's having trouble with, just like the dozens of others who can't get it to work! Although it's really only a variation, the method I linked to takes out all the ambiguity of the bad-flash method i.e. no "wait 10 seconds... or try 5, 12, 15.." etc. You follow the instructions and it works - simple (I know you feel the same about bad-flashing). Which is why I recommend it to those who are having problems.
I know you're only promoting the method that works for you, just the same as me, but I see too many posts from those having problems with the 10-second trick (or whatever you want to call it) to recommend it to anyone, especially those who are inexperienced at flashing.
If the bad-flash method you use is different to, say, the one in Textbook's guide, why not give a bit more info? All the bad-flash tutorials I've seen are the same i.e. turn xbox off, choose drive, wait 10 seconds and turn xbox on. It JUST DOESN'T WORK for sooo many people. Perhaps they're just too impatient to keep at it, but why should they when there is another proven method they can try?
BTW tdwiek, did you get it to work yet?
p.s. Not trying to be offensive or start a flame-war, I just didn't think your post was very helpful to the OP
