I`ve some confusion

After 79 passkey installed, which way the best to set the drive into mode b?

1.xecuter connectivity tools
2.slax disc(same as 78f)

Pls advice which option the best

the passkey puts it in mode b automatically, so you don't need to do anything extra, just backup and flash

ok thx..but I have new problem now.

It tried using fw toolbox 4.6 to read the original firmware but suddenly my pc freeze n I`ve to reset my pc.
It seem it does not read the firmware coz the file size is 0bytes.

When I use toolpack supplied with ixtreme1.4 archive dowloaded on xbins..the prog said
it cannot detect the drive( I used FLASHIX.BAT command n checked the drive letter many time)
BUT when I used READ.BAT cmd, it works fine n the original fw succesfully read.

ANy clue or idea?
It is my windows or my pc sys?

I used legal windows xp, abit nf4 an8 mobo,xp 3800+,sata nforce
I also tried with via vt6421 sata card but result still the same

When you insert the DVD disc for the firmware dump, wait a couple sec before you hit the button.

tried to wait 20secs n also 2seconds...still my pc crash after I click dump firmware bar..
have any idea?Do I`ve to set something on my pc bios?

Does your pc actually detect the game or movie when you insert it into the drive?
