hey guys, its been 5 days since i sucessfully flashed my 360 drive for the first time.

i've been kinda getting a high pitched sound from the drive when i play games.

is this common with normal 360 drives without being flashed? is it also normal with drives that have been flashed? And Last should i be concerned with the noise that its making, is it a sign that it will break?

my benq is also noisy after i flashed it, but it just sounds like the laser is going crazy reading as opposed to the high pitch you describe.  even if i just pause the game it still sounds like it's seeking like crazy.

i flashed with 5x speed...which did you use?  i wonder if the laser seek noise is lower (with the spin being louder) in the 8x speed...

its hard to exactly describe the noise but yes its like the lasers going crazy or a high pitched sound.

i just updated to ixtreme 1.4 and set the read speed from 12x to 8x. and still got the noise but will be very cautious about it.
